Bench Invites
Grow your trusted network by inviting contractors you already know and work with. Bench invites let you bring your existing professional relationships onto Trusted Bench, where they become part of your digital network for job routing and referrals.
There are two ways to invite contractors: send email invitations directly, or share your unique invite link. When someone joins through your invite, they're automatically added to your bench—and you're added to theirs, creating a mutual connection from day one.
Key Concepts
Your Invite Link
Every user gets a unique, permanent invite link that can be shared unlimited times. Anyone who signs up using your link is automatically added to your bench. The link never expires and can be used as many times as needed.
Your link format: trustedbench.com/join/[your-unique-code]
Bidirectional Connection
When someone accepts your bench invite and creates an account, both of you are added to each other's benches automatically. This creates a mutual connection—you can send them jobs, and they can send you jobs.
Invites vs. Find Pros
Bench invites bring new users onto Trusted Bench who aren't on the platform yet. Find Pros lets you add existing Trusted Bench users to your bench. Use invites for contractors you work with who haven't signed up; use Find Pros to discover and add professionals already on the platform.
Inviting by Email
Send personalized email invitations to contractors you want to add to your bench.
How to Send Email Invites
- Click Invite Pros from your Bench page or the dashboard
- Enter the email address of the contractor you want to invite
- Click Add Additional Contractor to invite multiple people at once
- Click Send Invites to send all invitations
Each recipient receives an email with your name and a link to join Trusted Bench. When they sign up through that link, they're automatically added to your bench as an Active pro.
What Recipients Receive
Invited contractors receive an email with:
- Your name and company
- A brief message explaining the invitation
- A button to join Trusted Bench
- Information about what Trusted Bench is
The email makes it clear they were personally invited by you, increasing the likelihood they'll sign up.
Sharing Your Invite Link
For broader outreach, share your unique invite link directly.
How to Get Your Link
- Click Invite Pros from your Bench page or dashboard
- Scroll to the Share Invite Link section
- Click Share Invite Link to open sharing options, or copy the link directly
Sharing Options
Depending on your device, you'll see different sharing options:
- Native Share (mobile) — Opens your device's share sheet to send via text, email, WhatsApp, or any installed app
- Copy to Clipboard (desktop) — Copies the link so you can paste it anywhere
A confirmation toast appears when the link is copied successfully.
Where to Share Your Link
Your invite link works anywhere:
- Email signatures
- Business cards or marketing materials
- Trade show conversations
- Social media profiles
- Text messages to contractors you meet
- Industry forums or groups
Anyone who clicks the link and signs up becomes part of your bench.
What Invitees Experience
When someone clicks your invite link, here's what they see:
The Join Page
The invite link leads to a personalized landing page showing:
- Your profile photo and name
- A message: "Join [Your Name]'s Bench"
- Options to sign up or sign in
This personalized experience lets invitees know exactly who invited them before they create an account.
After Sign-Up
Once the invitee creates their account and completes onboarding:
- They're automatically added to your bench as an Active pro
- You're automatically added to their bench
- Both of you can start sending each other job referrals
No manual action is needed—the connection is created instantly when they complete their profile.
Where to Send Invites
You can access bench invites from two places:
During Onboarding
Step 5 of onboarding is dedicated to bench invites. This is when new users are encouraged to invite contractors they already work with. Both email invites and the shareable link are available.
From Your Dashboard
After onboarding, click the Invite Pros button on your Bench page or from the Find Pros page. This opens the same invite modal with email inputs and your shareable link.
Best Practices
Invite Contractors You Know
Bench invites work best for contractors you've already worked with. These existing relationships translate into immediate trust on the platform, and you both benefit from the mutual connection.
Use Your Link Strategically
Add your invite link to your email signature, business cards, or LinkedIn profile. This passive approach brings in new connections without extra effort.
Follow Up After Sending
If you send email invites and don't see the person appear in your bench within a few days, reach out directly. The email might have gone to spam, or they might have questions about the platform.
Invite Across Trades
Build a diverse bench by inviting contractors from different trades. The more trades represented in your bench, the more types of jobs you can route to your network.

FAQ
Can I track who accepted my invites?
When someone signs up using your invite, they appear in your bench automatically. You can see all pros in your bench from the Bench page in your dashboard.
What if someone already has a Trusted Bench account?
If an existing user clicks your invite link while logged in, they'll be added to your bench directly (and you to theirs). If they're logged out, they can sign in instead of signing up to create the connection.
Can I revoke or change my invite link?
Your invite link is permanent and cannot be changed. Anyone with the link can use it to join your bench. If you need to stop accepting invites, contact support.
Do invitees need to be contractors?
Invitees go through the standard Trusted Bench onboarding, which includes setting up their professional profile with trades and service area. The platform is designed for contractors and service providers.
Is there a limit to how many people I can invite?
No. You can send unlimited email invites and share your invite link as many times as you want. There's no cap on bench size.
What's the difference between my bench invite link and my referral link?
Your bench invite link (/join/...) is for inviting contractors to join your bench. Your referral link (/refer/...) is for homeowners to submit jobs to your network. They serve different purposes—one grows your pro network, the other brings in jobs.
Do I get notified when someone accepts my invite?
Currently, there's no notification when someone joins through your invite. Check your Bench page periodically to see new additions, or watch for the mutual connection count to increase.
Can I invite the same person multiple times?
Sending multiple invites to the same email address will send multiple emails, but they can only create one account. Once they're in your bench, additional invites have no effect.
