Marketplace
The Marketplace is a public job board where you can find and claim available leads in your area. These are jobs that didn't get matched through a pro's private network and are now open to any qualified professional.
When a job's routing plan exhausts all pros in the owner's bench without an acceptance, and their overflow setting is configured to go public, the job becomes a marketplace lead. This gives you access to work opportunities beyond your existing network.
Key Concepts
How Jobs Reach the Marketplace
Jobs appear in the marketplace through a specific flow:
- A client submits a job through a pro's referral link
- The job is offered to pros in that owner's bench based on their workflow settings
- Each pro has a set time (hop duration) to accept or decline
- If all bench pros decline or don't respond, the job "overflows"
- If the owner's overflow logic is set to Public, the job becomes a marketplace lead
Jobs only reach the marketplace when the original network couldn't fulfill them. This means marketplace leads are genuine opportunities where a client is actively looking for help.
Urgency Levels
Each marketplace lead displays an urgency level assigned when the job was created:
| Urgency | Color | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| High | Red | Client needs immediate assistance |
| Medium | Amber | Standard timeline, flexible scheduling |
| Low | Blue | No rush, can be scheduled at convenience |
Urgency helps you prioritize which leads to pursue first and set expectations for response time.
Estimated Payouts
Each lead shows an estimated payout based on the job's tier. This represents what the job owner will receive when the job completes. As the claiming pro, your payment terms are handled separately based on the job specifics.
Browsing Available Leads
Navigate to Marketplace in your dashboard sidebar to view all available leads.
Lead Information
Each lead in the table shows:
- Job Details — The job title and when it was posted
- Location — Where the work needs to be done
- Urgency — Color-coded priority level (High, Medium, Low)
- Est. Payout — The estimated job tier payout
- Action — Claim button to accept the lead
Leads are displayed in a table format for easy scanning. The posted time shows how long the lead has been available, helping you identify fresh opportunities.
Availability
Marketplace leads are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Once a pro claims a lead, it's removed from the marketplace and won't be visible to other pros.
Check the marketplace regularly to catch new leads as they become available. High-urgency jobs tend to get claimed quickly.
Claiming a Lead
When you find a lead you want to pursue:
- Review the job details, location, and payout
- Click Claim on the lead row
- The lead is assigned to you and removed from the marketplace
- The job appears in your Jobs section
After Claiming
Once you claim a lead:
- The job owner is notified that their job has been claimed
- You can view full job details in your Jobs dashboard
- Contact information for the client becomes available
- Standard job workflow applies (progress tracking, completion, payment)
Claiming a lead is a commitment to follow up with the client. Only claim jobs you're prepared to pursue.
How Marketplace Differs from Bench Jobs
| Aspect | Bench Jobs | Marketplace Leads |
|---|---|---|
| Source | Offered by someone who added you to their bench | Self-selected from public listings |
| Competition | Sequential offers to specific pros | First-come, first-served |
| Relationship | You know the job owner | May be a new connection |
| Availability | Offered directly to you | Must actively browse and claim |
Marketplace leads let you expand beyond your existing network and build new professional relationships.
Best Practices
Check Regularly
New leads appear as jobs overflow from various networks. Checking the marketplace throughout the day increases your chances of finding good opportunities.
Act Quickly on High-Urgency
High-urgency leads indicate clients who need immediate help. These are often claimed within minutes of appearing. If you see a high-urgency job in your trade and area, consider claiming it promptly.
Consider Location
The location column helps you assess travel time and whether the job is practical for your service area. Focus on leads within a reasonable distance to maintain profitability.
Review Before Claiming
While claiming is quick, take a moment to review the job details. Make sure it's a service you can provide and the location works for your schedule.

FAQ
How do leads get to the marketplace?
Leads reach the marketplace when a job exhausts all pros in the owner's bench without being accepted, and the owner's overflow logic is set to Public. The job then becomes visible to all qualified pros in the marketplace.
Is there a fee to claim marketplace leads?
There's no fee to browse or claim leads from the marketplace. Standard job fees apply once the job is completed, same as any other job on the platform.
Can I see who originally had the job?
When you claim a lead, you'll see the job owner's information. The marketplace listing shows job details but not the full owner profile until you claim.
What happens if I claim a lead but can't complete it?
If you claim a lead but can't follow through, contact the job owner to discuss options. Consistently claiming leads without completing them may affect your standing on the platform.
Why don't I see any leads?
The marketplace shows jobs that have overflowed to public. If no jobs are currently available, it means all recent jobs were successfully matched within owners' private networks. Check back regularly as new leads appear throughout the day.
Can I filter marketplace leads by trade?
Currently, the marketplace shows all available leads in your area. Focus on leads that match your trade expertise when browsing.
How quickly are leads claimed?
High-urgency leads may be claimed within minutes. Standard leads typically remain available longer. There's no set timeframe—it depends on demand in your area.
Do marketplace leads pay differently?
Payment structure is the same as bench jobs. The estimated payout shown is based on the job tier assigned when the job was created.
