Notifications
Stay informed about what matters most. Trusted Bench sends email notifications to keep you updated on new job opportunities, referral progress, and platform news. You have full control over which emails you receive.
All notification preferences are managed from your Settings page and can be changed at any time. Your choices are saved automatically and take effect immediately.
Notification Types
Trusted Bench offers three categories of email notifications:

New Leads
When a job comes in that matches your trade and is within your service area, you'll receive an email notification. This helps you respond quickly to opportunities from networks you're part of.
New lead emails include:
- Job details and scope
- Client location (city/region)
- Job tier and associated fee
- Direct link to accept or decline
Referral Updates
When you send jobs to your network, referral update emails keep you informed about their progress. You'll be notified when:
- A pro in your bench accepts a job
- A job completes and payment is captured
- A job is marked as lost or cancelled
- Your payout has been processed
Marketing Emails
Occasional emails about platform updates, new features, tips for growing your network, and special offers. These are opt-in only and disabled by default.
Managing Your Preferences
Accessing Notification Settings
- Go to Settings in your dashboard sidebar
- Click the Notifications tab
- Toggle each notification type on or off
Changes save automatically. You'll see a confirmation toast when your preferences are updated.
How Toggles Work
Each notification type is displayed as a card you can click to toggle:
- Enabled — Card has a colored border and checkmark. You'll receive these emails.
- Disabled — Card has a muted border. You won't receive these emails.
Click anywhere on the card to toggle the setting. There's no save button—your choice is applied immediately.
Unsubscribing from Emails
Every email from Trusted Bench includes an unsubscribe link in the footer. You can unsubscribe without logging in.
One-Click Unsubscribe
- Click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email
- You'll be taken to a confirmation page
- The specific email category is automatically disabled
Some email clients (like Gmail and Apple Mail) also show an unsubscribe button in the email header. This works the same way.
Unsubscribe Options
When you unsubscribe from an email, you can choose to:
- Unsubscribe from this type — Only disable the specific category (e.g., just marketing emails)
- Unsubscribe from all — Disable all non-essential emails at once
Transactional emails (like password resets or security alerts) cannot be disabled as they're required for account security.
Resubscribing
Changed your mind? You can restore your notification preferences:
- Click Resubscribe on the unsubscribe confirmation page, or
- Go to Settings → Notifications in your dashboard and re-enable the categories you want
When Emails Are Sent
Trusted Bench emails are event-triggered, not scheduled. You'll receive notifications when something happens, not on a fixed schedule.

Email Delivery
Emails are sent from Trusted Bench using a verified sender domain. If you're not receiving expected emails:
- Check your spam/junk folder
- Add our sender address to your contacts
- Verify the notification type is enabled in Settings
- Ensure your email address is correct in your Profile

FAQ
Can I disable all emails?
You can disable all three notification categories (New Leads, Referral Updates, Marketing). However, transactional emails for account security (password resets, security alerts) will still be sent as required.
How quickly are notification emails sent?
Emails are triggered immediately when events occur. Most emails arrive within a few minutes of the triggering event.
Will I miss job opportunities if I disable New Leads?
You can still see and accept jobs by logging into your dashboard. Email notifications simply provide an additional alert—jobs are always available in your Jobs list regardless of your email preferences.
Can I get notifications by SMS or push instead of email?
Currently, Trusted Bench only offers email notifications. We may add additional notification channels in the future.
What if I unsubscribe but still receive emails?
If you continue receiving a specific type of email after unsubscribing, check your Settings to confirm the category is disabled. If it shows as disabled but you're still receiving emails, contact support.
Are my notification preferences synced across devices?
Yes. Your notification preferences are stored in your account and apply everywhere. Changes made on one device take effect immediately on all devices.
What's the difference between the Notifications tab and the unsubscribe link?
Both control the same settings. The Settings → Notifications tab gives you a visual interface to manage all categories at once. The unsubscribe link in emails is a quick way to disable a specific category without logging in.
