Your Referral Link
Your referral link is a unique URL that connects clients directly to your network. When someone uses your link to request a job, you become the job owner and earn referral fees when a pro from your bench accepts the work.
Finding Your Referral Link
Your referral link is available in two places:
During Onboarding
When you complete the onboarding process, Step 7 displays your unique referral link with a copy button. This is the first opportunity to start sharing.
On the Referrals Dashboard
After onboarding, you can always find your link on the Referrals page in your dashboard. Click the Copy Referral Link button in the page header to copy it to your clipboard.
How Your Link Works
Your referral link follows a simple format:
trustedbench.com/r/firstname-lastname-abc123
The link is generated automatically from your name and a unique identifier, ensuring it's both personal and unique to you.
The Referral Flow
- You share your link with a client who needs work done
- Client clicks the link and sees a job request form with your name displayed
- Client submits a request describing the job they need
- Job enters your routing workflow and is offered to pros in your bench
- A pro accepts and you earn a referral fee
What Clients See
When someone clicks your referral link, they land on a simple, branded page that shows:
- Your name and company so they know who referred them
- A job request form to describe the work they need
- Address lookup to ensure pros in the right service area are matched
After submitting, clients receive a confirmation and can track the status of their job as it moves through your network.
Where to Share Your Link
The more places you share your link, the more opportunities you create. Here are the most effective channels:
Email Signature
Add your referral link to your email signature for passive referrals. Every email you send becomes an opportunity.

Link Details
Format
Your link is automatically generated during onboarding using the format:
[firstname]-[lastname]-[unique-id]
Special characters are removed and spaces become hyphens, creating a clean, readable URL.
Permanence
Once created, your referral link cannot be changed. This ensures consistency—any links you've already shared will continue to work.
Uniqueness
Every referral link is unique to your account. Even if two users have the same name, the unique identifier ensures no conflicts.

FAQ
Can I change my referral link?
No. Your referral link is permanent once created. This ensures any links you've shared in email signatures, on your website, or in marketing materials continue to work indefinitely.
What if I change my name or company?
Your referral link remains the same even if you update your profile. The link is based on your original onboarding information.
Do I need to complete verification first?
You can share your referral link immediately after onboarding. However, to receive payouts from successful referrals, you'll need to complete Stripe Connect verification in your Settings.
Can I have multiple referral links?
Each account has one referral link. If you need to track referrals from different sources, you can use URL parameters or separate landing pages that redirect to your main link.
What happens if someone uses an invalid link?
If someone visits a referral link that doesn't exist (typo, deleted account, etc.), they'll see a "not found" page. Double-check your link when sharing to ensure accuracy.
Is there a limit to how many people can use my link?
No. Your referral link can be used unlimited times by unlimited clients. Each submission creates a new job in your network.
